Tell D.C. Mayor: VETO Predatory Law That Lets Children Consent to Vaccines w/o Parents

The law requires insurance companies and schools to conceal vaccinations from parents.

The Council of the District of Columbia City on Tuesday passed the dangerous and predatory bill B23-0171 by a vote of 10 to three.

This law will permit children 11 years old and older to consent to vaccines on their own without parental knowledge or consent. And it sets up these young children to be targets of bullying and coercion to be vaccinated behind their parents backs.

We need your quick one-minute action to reach out to the Mayor of the District of Columbia, Muriel Bowser, to tell her to VETO B23-0171.

Muhammad Ali

When Ali was still a young boy he and his brother Rahman borrowed their uncle’s car and drove from Louisville to Cincinnati to see Floyd Patterson work out before an exhibition bout. Cus was Floyd’s manager, and for Ali it was like meeting God, because he’d heard so much about Cus. “Mr. D’Amato, I’m Cassius Clay and I’m going to be a fighter and we came here to see Floyd Patterson,” Ali said. “Well, I’ve got two tickets for you,” Cus said. After the fight Ali went to thank Cus. “If I become a little bit famous, I want you with me,” he told Cus. Cus smiled. “Well, we’ll talk about it when that time comes. How are you getting back to Kentucky?” Ali told him they were driving. “How much money do you have?” Cus asked. “We’ve got enough,” Ali said. “Show it to me,” Cus insisted. Ali pulled out a twenty-dollar bill. “That’s not enough,” Cus said, and gave him two hundred dollars. That made a big impression on Ali. Years later, when he was champ of the world and had his training camp in Deer Lake, Pennsylvania, Ali would repeat all of Cus’s questions to young fans who had driven up to see him spar and then he’d give them money himself.

US Supreme Court rules half of Oklahoma is Native American land

Native American

The US Supreme Court has ruled about half of Oklahoma belongs to Native Americans, in a landmark case that also quashed a child rape conviction.

The justices decided 5-4 that an eastern chunk of the state, including its second-biggest city, Tulsa, should be recognised as part of a reservation.

Jimcy McGirt, who was convicted in 1997 of raping a girl, brought the case.

He cited the historical claim of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation to the land where the assault occurred.

A woman in blue scrubs cleans a hospital room

Hospital House Keeping Staff

Maria Saravia changes in and out of protective gear 24 times a day — once for each patient room she enters on the COVID-19 floor at Keck Hospital of USC. She takes out biohazardous waste, freshens linens and sanitizes everything, down to the television remote.

At Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, Rosalvina Baez knows which sign outside a child’s room signals a high-risk infection case, which could be COVID-19. She comforts parents and cracks jokes with their sons and daughters as she cleans bathrooms and mops floors.

UPS Hero Richmond Va.

Even though his truck does not have sirens and his uniform does not offer added fire protection, Anthony Gaskin is considered a hero in the Hallsley neighborhood.
Gaskins is a driver for

and during the pandemic, his daily deliveries have been life-saving, both literally and figuratively, to the Midlothian neighbors.
"Through COVID, Anthony has continued working, delivering packages at our doors, record numbers of them, over 180 times to date," Hallsley neighbor Patty Friedman wrote in an email. "I wanted to thank him personally for how much he helped me feel welcome when I moved in during a pandemic. It was terribly lonely and he was always the highlight of my day. Mentioning this to a few people and the response I got was all I needed to know I was not alone."
That prompted Patty and her neighbor to come up with a way to show their appreciation for Gaskin.
It all came together on Tuesday, December 15.
"Arriving on bikes, on foot, and in more than 75 cars, hundreds of Hallsley residents lined the road and waited for Anthony to turn the corner," she wrote. "A humble man, he needed to be coaxed, but eventually, slowly drove his truck down the road while children and adults held up signs, screamed his name, honked their horns, and rang bells."
Gaskin's supervisors even showed up to present him with a gift.
The neighborhood gesture visibly moved Gaskin, who spoke briefly, thanked everyone, and then got back to work.
What has brown done for you lately....

Wilmington, N.C.

In 1898 African-Americans were a majority of Wilmington, NC’s population. The entire city was operated by colored people. Most owned homes and businesses in the city. Some houses were oceanfront. The city was independently black owned, having their own banks, newspapers and government. On November 10, 1898, white insurgents overthrew the elected government and forced black leaders out of the city. They massacred families, burned down their homes and businesses. It is considered the only successful coup, a sudden, violent, and illegal seizure of power from a government, in American history. The blacks who survived never regained their land nor their power. All their financial assets were stolen illegally by the racist whites.
