(9/14/2025) With deep sadness, I come to you today with the news of the passing of my daughter Hajar Jamilah Mahmud wife of Brother Abdul Salaam.  I ask that Allah forgive her shortcomings and grant her entry into Paradise.  Thank you to all the brothers and sisters who have conveyed their condolences..  These gestures of kindness will never be forgotten.  From the entire Mahmud Family, we thank you once again.

Outside of my actual blood Sisters, I’ve known Jamilah longer than anyone else on the planet. My first memories are at her house! Our parents literally migrated in a caravan from DC to Atlanta. This is heartbreaking! May your transition be peaceful. As you reunite with your Ancestors may they receive you with open arms. My prayers go out to your family who remain, especially Sis. Khadijah and Bro. Bilal. May your Son feel your presence and you love as long as he remains in this realm. Safe travels, shawty!!!
