Alhamdu Lillaah Alhamdu Lillaah Alhamdu Lillaah. By the grace of Allah, alone, I have FINALLY, successfully completed my

master's program and now hold a Master's of Divinity in Islamic Chaplaincy. The feeling is unreal. Just 3 years ago, I didn't even have a bachelor's degree. I was intimidated by the idea of going back to school after such a long hiatus. On top of that, I have a GED instead of a "traditional" high school diploma. "How could I do a Master's program if I didn't even get through high school, technically?", I thought. Subhaan Allaah. Only a fool could experience this and think that Allaah is not The Greatest and not Capable of all things.

I most definitely couldn't have done this without the patience and support of my family. Many a time, I had to turn down requests for outings, activities, alone time, sometimes help with chores, etc. due to having so many assignments due and having terrible time management skills. They tolerated my shortcomings and overlooked my many mistakes along the way. I really can't thank them enough. @majidahhagood @parentmecoaching

I have to acknowledge Dr. James Jones for constantly pushing me to my limits. His encouragement and belief in me is unmatched. When I was doubting myself, he said, "I KNOW you can do this! I've seen your writing! You can do this Master's with no problem, Ashir!" I put my trust in Allaah first, and trusted his word. Here I am 3 years later having done exactly what he said I could do. Get you a mentor like Dr. Jimmy and go out and conquer the world.
