 Muslim Alliance in North America (MANA) conveys our sincere condolences to the community of the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church and to the families and loved ones of those worshipers murdered there.  We call for this despicable act to be judged, prosecuted and punished as an act of terrorism and racial hatred.

 

Further, we appreciate and honor the historical significance of the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in light of African America's religious history and struggle for freedom. And, while these horrific events demand justice, they do not and should not be allowed to overshadow the historical importance of the church.
