Alumnus Shelton “Spike” Lee ’79, will be hosting his new documentary tonight on “HBO” at 9:00 P.M. (Eastern time)

entitled: “If God Is Willing and the Creek Don’t Rise.” It is also

scheduled to air Aug. 26^th and 27^th. He documents events that have occurred since “Hurricane Katrina” hit the Gulf Coast .

This will mark the fifth anniversary of the devastation in the New Orleans, LA USA area.

In addition, Alumnus Lee is expected to discuss situations pertaining to the oil spill in the Gulf.

Alumnus Lee has directed movies entitled: “Do The Right Thing” and “Mo Better Blues.” A few years ago, he directed another made for “HBO” television event entitled: “The Levies.”
