Dear Community Workers,

The Atlanta Masjid of Al-Islam Community invites you to rebuild the House of Allah.

Prophet (s.a.w) said “Whoever builds a Masjid, seeking the pleasure of Allah, Allah shall build a house for him in Paradise” Sahih Bukhari

The renovations to the Masjid are in the spirit of our 2010 theme “The Quran and Family”. Inshallah our intentions are to make the Masjid a more family friendly space.

Phase 1 of the renovation is moving along beautifully and we need more support to keep this worthwhile project going. The sisters restroom was a complete success, Alhamdullah! Currently we are focusing on the courtyard expansion.

This area will become a beautiful park for family relaxation and fun. The park will be equipped with a play area for the children, a general area for family outings, social events and the “Garden of Remembrance”.

You may ask what is the “The Garden of Remembrance” ? It is a beautiful area of pathways, plantings and benches bordered by bricks inscribed with inspirational messages lasting memories, joyful tributes and fond farewells. The bricks will honor loved ones, both past and present, and serve as a gentle reminder of how often they are thought about and how much they are loved.

We are asking each community worker to purchase a brick. Your brick purchase will help the Atlanta Masjid meet our fundraising goal to complete the desired renovations before Ramadan (Aug 11, 2010) .
