Nasrul Ilm of North America sincerely regrets to announce the cancellation of the West African Scholars Series scheduled for the Fall 2010 season. As a result of an irreconcilable exception related to Hajj obligations, the Honorable Shakyh Mohammad Mahy Cisse is unable to proceed with the tour of Cities and Universities as scheduled. He expresses his sincere regrets while underscoring his full commitment to Nasrul Ilm America and its Partners. He is encouraging the Community to continue its efforts to foster greater understanding of Islam through education, collaboration and exemplary conduct.

He is extending his gratitude and prayers to all those who have supported this great work and he looks forward to joining us in the Spring of 2011.

Nasrul Ilm would like to thank its Partners and volunteers for their leadership, hard work and co-operative spirit. We would also like to recognize the passion of our Community and its willingness to mobilize in the name of peace and understanding. We will remain committed to building bridges of Peace and introducing American Muslim and non-Muslim communities to the beauty and uniqueness of the Islamic Traditions and in particular West African Islamic tradition. Our rescheduling efforts will be announced in the first quarter of 2011. May Allah bless the believing men and women and their families in all their sincere efforts to establish prosperous communities throughout North America.
