The ESA Women's Alliance appeals to the international community
Ouahigouya, (AIB)-The Alliance of Women of the Sahel States, Burkina Faso section held a general assembly on May 04, 2024 in Ouahigouya during which it launched an appeal called "Ouayougui boole" to the international community.
This is in essence the appeal launched on May 4, 2024 in Ouahigouya by the Alliance of Women of the Sahel States, Burkina Faso section.
According to the spokesperson of the Alliance, Habiba Sawadogo, the women have decided to dry their tears to sharpen the weapons, namely the formidable power that hides under their femininity.
"Throughout the history of humanity, the power of women is indisputable. Through the Alliance, we will implement strategies and actions to educate and sensitize children and communities in the truth, to an awakening of patriotic conscience," she said.
She continued that they are ready to support the authorities of the three countries because the era of the triumphal march of the whole of Africa has come.
This General Assembly served as a framework for launching the Alliance's activities. During this meeting, the women mobilized the sum of eighty-three (83,000 CFA francs) thousand CFA francs to support the peace effort.
The Sahel Women's Alliance is an association that was created in March 2024. And its members affirm their support for the transitions underway in Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger.
