Life is a series of decisions, some are good, some are not so good.  For the believer the most important thing is

to learn to trust in Allah, and know that whatever he or she does has good in it.  The other important thing is to always keep our intentions as pure as we can each and every day.  There come times when Allah will use us for one thing when we think we are embarked on a whole another journey. 

Back in December after returning from Standing Rock on assignment, one of our correspondents received a call from a colleague regarding an upcoming conference in Jackson Ms, regarding the Civil Rights Movement and it's struggles....the conference was on a Friday and Saturday. On Friday our brother decided to attend the Friday (Jummuah) prayer at the local Masjid in Jackson Ms.  The Jummah prayer was one that will be remembered for time to come.  After the service one brother made and announcement that   he had a niece who was in need of a very serious heart surgery, and the family wasn't in any position to afford this very expensive operation,

Sometimes Allah wants us in a particular place at a particular time for a reason, when this situation was heard, naturally our heart went out for this child who is less than 10 years old and her life is in jeopardy because her family cannot afford the much needed procedure to save her life.  Unfortunately we live in a world where your life and your death are directly connected to how much money you have access to. 

On  the drive back to our home and the warmth of our family this little  girl would not go away.  The thought of her returning to Allah just because her family was poor was not an option for our correspondent.  Upon returning home he realized that he had no information about this child except that he had seen her uncle make an appeal for help for her, not even the uncle's name.  There happened to be a young Muslim in Jackson Ms.  that he knew from years past,...he thought it a long shot, and gave him a call asked  if he knew the uncle, in order to at least give him a call.  Our man on the ground in Jackson did know the uncle and gave his number.  Keep in mind this correspondent doesn't have any funds to make this happen himself, but he had a desire to help this baby in need.     The uncle trusting in Allah and hoping that this was a chance for his niece, gave our agent the contact information for the family and a bio of the young girl.  Now that our man, who had put himself out there... what was he going to do to raise this enormous amount of money to make this surgery happen. 

In the past he had worked with other philanthropic organizations and began to reach out to contacts he has from past.  There is one of his contact who we pray that Allah give him and his family long life and much continued success for their generosity on many different projects.  When presented with this case our brother immediately    took interest, and began to formulate a plan of action.  A team was assembled and the project took a life of it's own.  The uncle and the family were in regular contact with the coalition on three continents , efforts and personnel were coordinated and with the help of Allah and the hard work of this team of brothers, most of whom do not know each other, but are committed to doing good work for the pleasure of Allah and to make a difference in the world,,,by Allah grace the surgery will take place tomorrow (March 7, 2017)  in New Deli , India...Allah is the Greatest!

Please pray for the success of the surgery and the full recovery of our young sister.

Alhumdulilah! the surgery went well and Bint Yasir is recovering in ICU until Monday morning, please keep her in your prayers

Ayesha (R.A.) stated that when anyone among them had an illness, Prophet Mohammad (SAW.) used to rub the area of the pain reciting the following dua:

أَذْهِبِ الْبَأْسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ وَاشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي لَا شِفَاءَ إِلَّا شِفَاؤُكَ شِفَاءٌ لَا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمَاً

"O Lord of the people, remove this pain and cure it, You are the one who cures and there is no one besides You who can cure, grant such a cure that no illness remains".

"Ayesha (R.A.) stated that when Prophet Mohammad (SAW.) was ill, he used to recite the four Quls, blow on his hands and pass them over on the back and front. He also recited these surahs, blew on his hands and passed them over his body during his fatal illness".
