Today  is #GivingTuesday, an international day of generosity. Our goal is to raise $30,000 to support programs for Muslim youth in Georgia for our Making a D!fference campaign. These initiatives are:

• Making a D!fference Campaign:  an essay competition for middle and high school students from any background to share the story of how they are inspired by influential Georgia Muslims

• Youth Empowerment Training:  community based sessions for boys and girls to build self-esteem and gain tools to effectively deal with bullying and difficult questions they face in their everyday lives
• Parent Empowerment Training:  community based sessions for parents to recognize and deal with difficulties their sons and daughters are facing in school or at home
• Forging Partnerships: engaging with organizations, such as the Boy Scouts, to identify potential areas for collaboration with the Muslim Community

50% of Muslim American kids face discrimination and bullying. That's 1 in 2 kids! These initiatives are vital to help them address this major problem. We cannot let our kids face the current climate alone.
