Masood A. Haqq 42,  announces his campaign Thursday for Oklahoma City Council's Ward 7, which is the area where

the city's historically Black community prominently resides, located  on the northeast side of town.  As a Black American Muslim man, his connection to the area runs deep, and has been cultivated for more than a decade.

Mr. Masood Haqq, "I'm honored to announce my campaign to become Oklahoma City's next Ward 7 Councilman.

With nearly two decades of servant leadership experience and a degree in Business Law from UCO, I understand the mix of policy, people, and processes required in local government.

To my Ward 7 neighbors, I will be an accessible advocate, with economic development, solutions for elder care, homelessness, healthcare and education on the brain. I'm so excited to meet you in your homes and businesses, listen, then roll my sleeves up, and go to work for you!"
