On behalf of the Board of Muslimat Al Nisaa, we ask you to join us in congratulating Sister Asma
Hanif, Executive Director, Founder and now Islamic Chaplain, in her graduation from Hartford Seminary where she received a Masters in Islamic Studies, Muslim Christian Relations, along with a certificate in Islamic Chaplaincy.
Alhamdulilah Sister Asma has worked tirelessly in the provision of care for the homeless, refugees, trafficking victims and Muslim women victims of domestic violence for over the past 30 years. It is this ardent desire to care for and give voice to those silenced by abuse, fear and apathy that she took the extra steps required to complete the additional education to accomplish such credentialing. This formalized acknowledgement of her Masters level training and skills sets further demonstrates a commitment of her dedication to address the needs of our community that are served by a service program as vital as Muslimat Al Nisaa. We invite members of the community to extend their support of those seeking such services by giving support to Muslimat Al Nisaa.
