بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

الحمد لله رب العالمين و الصلاة و السلام على أشرف الأنبياء و المرسلين نبينا محمد و على آله و صحبه أجمعين , و من تبعهم بإحسان إلى يوم الدين
أما بعد :

السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته

 قال عليه السلام : " كلكم راع وكلكم مسئول عن رعيته

 

قُلۡ إِنَّ صَلَاتِى وَنُسُكِى وَمَحۡيَاىَ وَمَمَاتِى لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِينَ (١٦٢) لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ ۥۖ وَبِذَٲلِكَ أُمِرۡتُ وَأَنَا۟ أَوَّلُ ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ (١٦٣

 

لله ما أخذ ولله ما أعطى

الحمد لله رب العالمين القائل في كتابه المبين «ولنبلونكم بشيء من الخوف والجوع ونقص من الأموال والأنفس والثمرات، وبشر الصابرين الذين إذا أصابتهم مصيبة قالوا إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون، أولئك عليهم صلوات من ربهم ورحمة وأولئك هم المهتدون»، والقائل سبحانه «إنك ميت وإنهم ميتون».

 

For Allah what is taken and for Allah what he has given
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds,  He says in His book, the most clear «

And surely We shall try you with something of fear and hunger, and loss of wealth and lives and crops; but give glad tidings to the steadfast, (155) Who say, when a misfortune striketh them: Lo! we are Allah's and lo! unto Him we are returning. (156) Such are they on whom are blessings from their Lord, and mercy. Such are the rightly guided. (157)

Jalaluddin Mansur Nuriddin was an American poet and musician. He was one of the founding members of The Last Poets, a group of poets and musicians that evolved in the 1960s out of the Harlem

We ask Allah SWT to bless his Slave Servant Jalal Mansur Nurridin.
He is one who has dedicated his lfe to the upliftment of his people.
He was an artist activist who painted with his words , and through his ar he challenged tyrants and oppressors.
“ For Blessed are those who struggle.”
He was my brother /mentor who eptimized the scholar warrior.  He use his pen to instill fear into the hearts of the oppressor, and hope into the hearts of the oppressed.

In Islam there are three things that continue to benefit us once we leave this plane of life:

- A charity that benefits others.
- The prayers of righteous offsprings.
- Knowledge that others benefit from

Shk. Jalal checks all the boxes through his healing and artistic works he has helped many through many challenges:

“Tranquility is the ability to find your mind in the context of space and time.”
May Allah SWT bless the Nurridin family for lending their father to the world.

The beneficial knowledge that our brother has left will be quoted by many throughout the ages.

We all have a season, and with each breath we become closer to our seasons end.
The passing of Shk. Jalal should be a reminder to for those of us who are left behind to do better, and be better.  Condolesences to the family From Imam Jamil Al-Amin, and From Imam Khalil Abdur-Rahim who served as the manager for the Last Poets he stated:
“ASA! A free spirit: a pioneer of artistic and cultural drama; a prolific writer and a master poet; an articulator oand commentator of the social and political realities of our time.  His legacy as an artist will live on.  May Allah accept his striving for the sake of the Deen;forgive him his sins, and give him a high station in Jinnah. Amin.”

We will miss him. 
May Allah swt expand his grave, and grant him paradise.
And the poet said:
“Spring Came, and It wasn't the same.”
