Bismillah. In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.

All praise and thanks belong to God the One, the Eternal, the Self-Sufficient, the Giver of Life and Death, the Granter of Guidance, the Answerer of Prayers, the Cherisher and Sustainer of all the Worlds. There is no god but Him, and He has no partners.

May God's peace and prayers be upon Prophet Muhammad, his family, his companions, and all the other prophets and messengers, from Adam to Noah to Abraham to Moses to Jesus the son of Mary.

Alhamdulillah, my wife and I are blessed to announce the birth of our son, Malik ibn Edward Ahmed Mitchell. He was born on the evening of Oct. 9, 2019 (11 Safar 1441). We thank God for my mother, my mother-in-law, and the numerous nurses and doctors who helped bring him into the world.

May God guide him to live a long and happy life as a believer whose good deeds benefit humanity. May God do the same for all the newborns around the world. And may God grant guidance, patience, and righteous descendants to all those expecting or hoping for children. Ameen.
