Dear Brother/Sister

I pray that this message will find you and those near you in the full protection of Allah. I am writing today to ask your assistance in a matter that will benefit us both in this life and in the hereafter. As you know many of us are going through very difficult time during this severe economic down turn in our society. Many in our community are living from day to day, and not even that, much of the time. Usually when we think of homeless people we do not factor in Muslim homeless. Unfortunately this circumstance does affect the Muslim community in a very big way. I have personally work with families over the past 25 year in helping them to meet some of their basic needs.

As the problem has increased I saw the need to establish a non aligned Charitable organization to help needy Muslim in America. In that regard we have establish a non-profit 501(c) (3) charitable fund to help needy family in America. All fund collected by Zakat U.S.A. will be used to satisfy the eight categories of recipient of Zakat in the U.S.A. Alhumdulilh the fund is a non-profit Corporation with tax exempt status in the U.S.A.

Today I am writing to request that you allocate a portion of your Zakat to this fund, that we may become partners in helping those less fortunate Muslim brothers and sister in our community. New Intakes and information

Sister - an Iraqi refugee here for 1 1/2 years. Needs help with rent. Son has started school and had to reduce hours at work. #1
Brother works at one of local Islamic Schools. He is married, wife, daughters and a son. The gas and electricity utilities have been disconnected due to non-payment. He has a brother age 33 years who is Autistic also is in the home. #2
Sister - reportedly is a victim of Domestic Violence and she is living "in hiding". She is unemployed. She receives food stamps and she receives SSI for two of her children. She uses the SSI to pay the rent. She is seeking help to pay utility bills. #3
Sister - single with one dependent age child (12 years) and two adult sons in her residence (one of them is disable). #4
Sister - Single working parent of two teens ages 13 and 14. Employed at a local doughnut shop. Needs help with car repairs, only means of travel. #5
Sister - with young children needs help with rent #6
Brother - works at a local Islamic school. Needs help with utilities #7
Brother - needs help with rent and groceries #8
Sister - single with a 15 yr old child needs help with utilities # 9
A young handicap sister passed away and the single mother does not have means to pay for the burial.# 10
A young family with 5 school age children needs help with car repairs, the only means of transportation to work.# 11
4 young children need help as the father is not there and mother has substance abuse issue. These children are being helped by some Muslims while they themselves are in need of help. #12
