The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics has embarked on a research project aimed at evaluating access to Halal foods and

YaQutullah Ibraheem Muhammad

food and nutrition security among Muslim college students in the United States.

Funding for this project was received from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation through a grant from the IFANCA (Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America)

To help support this work, a Halal Food and Nutrition Security Research Advisory group was convened. I'm honored and excited to serve on this advisory group's stellar team!

Start:ME is a free small business training program for promising entrepreneurs in the East Lake, Edgewood, and

Kirkwood area.

Start:ME provides business training, supportive networks of entrepreneurs and mentors, and access to a $10,000 grant pool.

The 2023 Start:ME Atlanta program will run from January through April and follow a hybrid model, alternating between in-person and virtual sessions.

Start:ME is looking for promising small business owners with a passion for their business and a strong tie to the local community.
