Proud To Be American?!

If you are Black and born in America and constantly subject to discrimination and double standards hammered to you daily and not afforded the same equal rights as whites, in the sight of all of that, what is there to be proud about. To say that I’m a proud American would mean that I’m ok with the numerous assassinations (and attempted ones) of leaders who engaged in battles for Justice. If I were to say that I’m a proud American then that would mean that I accept the practical genocide of the Natives of this land. Obviously you are not thinking when you say you are a proud American! No Black person should be proud of a country that has exploited their African ancestors, it is shamefully embarrassing to dishonor their memories. To be a proud Black American is to be utterly a proud slave, is that something to be proud about?
