As Salaamu alaikum wa rahmatullah

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un (Arabic: إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ, ʾinnā li-llāhi wa-ʾinnā ʾilayhi rājiʿūn

Our beloved brother, Muhammad Abdul Salaam AlArabi passed during the khutbah of Salatul Jumaah. He was the longest and oldest remaining member of Quba Institute (formerly International Muslim Brotherhood from the late 1950s and early 1960s. He has been a continuous member in good standing since he was 20 years old and is pictured in several archival photos in the company of Shaykh Nasir Ahmed and others. Failing health did not stop him from attending salatul Jumaah or the Eid prayers or visiting with Sister Faridah Abdul Kareem, another member from the late 1960s, however they could be brought together for the sharing of memories. He remained cognizant of his environment and the family that he dearly loved including his son Pastor Eric AbdulSalaam, his grandson Eric Abdul Salaam Jr., and his former wife and mother of his children, Brenda AbdulSalaam. May Allah give them peace and bless them for the kindness and loving support they demonstrated for his belief and the beliefs of the other Quba members who visited. Ameen!

Janazah will be held Saturday September 2, 2023 at 1:30pm at Quba Institute 4637 Lancaster Ave. Philadelphia 19151 (home of Quba since 1938). Khadijah Alderman Fuberal Services Inc will officiate internment in Friend South Western Cemetery following the Salatul Janazah.
