AS OBSERVANT AND COMMITTED MUSLIMS, WE DISTANCE OURSELVES FROM THE MISGUIDED "TAKFIRI" CRIMINALS IN PARIS AND ELSEWHERE.  FINALLY, WE AMERICAN MUSLIMS WHO CONVERTED TO ISLAM OVER FOUR DECADES AGO KNOW WHAT ISLAM IS AND WHAT IT IS NOT.  THE "TAKFIRI" PRACTICE OF CALLING OTHER MUSLIMS AND NON-MUSLIMS "UNBELIEVERS" IN ORDER TO JUSTIFY MURDERING THEM HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE FAITH OF ISLAM WHICH HAS A PROUD HISTORICAL RECORD OF UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD AND UNIFICATION.
