the subject of ihsan (Virtue). This workshop will explore the multiple methodologies of purifying the heart which were born from the hadith. The unique emphasis, conditions, and perspectives of each method will be outlined and analyzed. This workshop is eligible for those seeking a Bukhari Foundations Diploma. A $20 donation is requested but not required. Shaykh Khalil Abdur-Rashid holds an MA in Islamic Law (Marmara University, Istanbul) and an MA in Middle Eastern Studies (Columbia University, New York), and is currently currently completing his PhD in Islamic Law at Columbia. While in Turkey, he completed advanced Islamic seminary training and received his ijaaza in Islamic Sciences. He is a former Muslim Chaplain at Columbia and Barnard College, and served as an adviser to the NYPD, in addition to serving as an imam in NYC.
