   From The Creator(Allah) We Come, And Verily To The Creator (Allah)Is Our Return.  

In recent weeks the American people have been subjected to heinous crimes against humanity in the form of gun violence towards innocent people who are going about their daily lives.

We the Muslim community of metro Atlanta would like to express our sincere condolences on the loss us that have been suffered by the families of the victims of the recent shootings.

Gun violence is epidemic in the society, and it is sad that one of the most modern countries on the planet has a need to have more guns in their possession than the population of the country.

What is causing this instability?

How can we prevent more senseless  killings?

Where is the  resolve to do better?

It is imperative that leaders of this country begin to have a mature conversation about common sense gun laws.

Politicians,legislators, researchers, mental health professionals, and religious leaders have to come together to create a safer society.

As leaders in the Muslim community who are a part of this society we stand ready to work to help to establish commonsense gun laws.

We encourage you to begin to contact your legislators in an effort to move them away from supporting the gun lobbyists, and encourage them to empathize more with the victims of mass shootings.

May The Creator Guide The People to Righteousness.
