The Hurma Project, Maristan, Rahmah Foundation and Dr. Mariam Sheibani will be holding a *Learning Circle on Spiritual Abuse and Sexual Violence on Thursday evening (7 November, 6pm PST / 8 PM CST/ 9pm EST).*

We are deeply disturbed by the latest scandal of a criminal allegation against a popular American Quran teacher. But this incident cannot be viewed in isolation. Please join Dr. Ingrid Mattson, Dr. Sh. Rania Awaad, Sh. Rami Nsour, and Dr. Mariam Sheibani for a better understanding of how such abuses may happen and how each of us can contribute to safer communities.

Men and Women welcome. The event will be a Zoom Webinar and will offer an opportunity to pose questions to the panel anonymously.

يُّ يَا قَـيُّومُيُّ يَا قَـيُّومُبِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيثُأَصْلِحْ لِي شَأْنِي كُلَّهُوَلَا تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ (𝗢 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗢 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴)(𝗶𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝘆 𝗜 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳)(𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝘆 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀)(𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘆𝗲).【Al-Hakim #2000 and he graded it authentic | Sh. al-Albani graded it fair in as-Silsilah as-Sahihah #227】
****A’ishah, may God be pleased with her, narrated this duaa from the Prophet, peace be upon him, in a hadeeth in Saheeh Muslim:اللَّهُمَّ آتِ نَفْسِي تَقْوَاهَا وَزَكِّهَا أَنْتَ خَيْرُ مَنْ زَكَّاهَا أَنْتَ وَلِيُّهَا وَ مَوْلَاهَا Allāhumma Āti Nafsī Taqwāhā wa Zakkihā Anta Khayru man Zakkāhā Anta Waliyyuhā wa MawlāhāO Allah, grant my soul its piety and purify it, You are the Best to purify it, You are its Guardian and Master.

Sayyid Al-Istighfar: 
The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ said : The best supplication for seeking forgiveness is to say (the dua below). So if the worshipper says this when the morning arrives, truly believing in it, and he dies, he enters Paradise. And if he says this when the evening arrives, truly believing in it, and he dies, he will enters Paradise” (Sahih Bukhari)
اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِذَنْبِي وَأَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ فَاغْفِرْ لِي فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَO Allaah You are my Lord, there is none worthy of worship in truth except You, You created me and I am Your slave and I am abiding to Your covenant and promise as best as I can, I seek refuge in You from the evil that I have committed, I profess to you my sins and I acknowledge Your favour upon me, so forgive me verily no one forgives sins except you.
****صلاة المكيال الأوفى
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ على  سَيِّدنا محمَّدٍ النَّبِي وأزواجِه أمَّهاتِ المؤمنينَ وذُرِّيتِه وأهلِ بيتِه، كما صَلَّيتَ على آلِ سيدنا إبراهيمَ؛ إنَّك حميدٌ مجيدٌ
Oh Allah, send your mercy on Mohammad and his wives, the mothers of the believers and his progeny and his household, as You sent Your Blessings on Ibrahim’s family, for You are the Most Praiseworthy, the Most Glorious.

37:180سُبْحَـٰنَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ ٱلْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ ١٨٠
Glorified is your Lord—the Lord of Honour and Power—above what they claim!
37:181وَسَلَـٰمٌ عَلَى ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ١٨١
Peace be upon the messengers.
37:182وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ١٨٢
And praise be to Allah—Lord of all worlds
