  Recently a parade of white extremists have been nabbed for plotting to kill Muslims. Have you read about it? Didn't think so. . .
  
  The concern has reached the point to where the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) put out a press release just last week warning Muslims Americans to be especially vigilant. As CAIR noted, FBI sources indicated that militia groups have been conducting surveillance of Muslims in "diverse locations including Alaska, Arizona, Indiana, Montana, New York, North and South Carolina, Utah, and Texas."

• CAIR-OK Rep Says Dean Did Not Need to Apologize for Mideast Attire (Oklahoman)

• Adam Soltani, executive director of CAIR-OK, said he speculates that those who complained took issue with Graham's attire because it is clothing that may be associated with the Middle East and Muslims. He said it is traditional Middle Eastern attire but it is not clothing that the Quran, the Islamic holy book, requires, Muslims to wear.

    As an Oklahoma Muslim, I appreciate Dean Graham for what he has done. I see no reason for him to apologize for his actions, and I hope this will not prevent him from working to further the understanding of diversity on the OU campus in the future. With all the problems we are facing as a state and as a country, there is no doubt that we need more individuals that are willing to step out of their comfort zone and educate their peers about accepting the diversity around them.

  Whoops. Surely Gov. Walker didn't mean to suggest the vast majority of Muslims are extremists. Right? What he probably meant, we assumed, was that a relative handful of Muslims are extremists.
  
  So we asked. And asked. And asked. But three requests by the State Journal to Walker's campaign to clarify his statement elicited little more than a haze of political doublespeak.
