the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone's conscience in the sight of God." 2 Corinthians 4:2

White supremacy believes that white people are genetically superior to Black people by design, not because of laws and policies that favored white people while banning, barring, murdering and stealing lives and livelihoods from Black people for centuries. White supremacy explains away racial disparities by describing Black people as deficient in character; if they weren't so lazy and entitled they would have just as much as white people. But truth flies in the face of white supremacy, which is why elected officials are working so hard to hide the truth.

The bible tells us, however, that we are to renounce the hidden works of shame. We are compelled as Christians to set forth truth plainly, so that all can see it and have truth become embedded in their conscience. As long as state legislatures work to ban the truth about America's racist past and present in favor of a myth that Black people are simply inferior by design, there can be no healing and there can be no change.

God tells us that he will ONLY heal a land where the people, who are called by his name, have humbled themselves, prayed and sought his face, and turned from their wicked ways. White supremacy, however, is rooted in pride and has no intention of turning from wickedness. As a matter of fact, white supremacy doubles down.

But we will renounce the hidden works of shame. When we see state legislatures, school boards and church leaders cloak themselves in opposition to CRT, but NOT opposition to the laws, practices and attitudes that created the racial injustice it seeks to illuminate, we will not allow our vision to be diverted or our attention to be distracted. Opposition to CRT is nothing more than a veil shrouding the face of white supremacy. White supremacy calls teaching about racism racist because white supremacy thrives when hidden.
