Prayers for non-Muslims By Muslim

Islam asks Muslims to be friendly, helpful, fair, and just with all people, Muslims and non-Muslims. A

Muslim, therefore, should work for and wish the goodness and wellbeing of Muslims and non-Muslims.

 

Dr. Wael Shihab, PhD in Islamic Studies, Al-Azhar University, and the Head of the Shari`ah Dept. of Onislam.net website, stated,

 

A Muslim is Islamically ordained to be just, fair, kind, and friendly with all people, irrespective of their faiths, cultures, and races.

Therefore, Muslims are certainly allowed to make du`a’ for non-Muslim relatives and friends who are living. We, Muslims, can pray for them for their health, wellbeing and guidance. The most important prayer that we can do for them is to pray for their guidance to the path of Islam; we must do so on a continuous basis.

Muslims are to maintain good social and friendly relations with all people. Caring for the poor, the needy, and helpless is Islamically recommended for all. Islamic universal values such as justice, kindness, mercy, etc., are meant to please all people, Muslims and non-Muslims.

May Allah accept your and our good deeds.
