Mahdi Bray Suffers Stroke, In Serious Condition 01/18/2011  19:27 Assalamu aliukum,   We are pleased to report to the community that Imam Mahdi Bray’s condition continues to improve Alhamdulillah. He has moved out of the ICU into a private room. His speech and movement continue to improve. Brother Mahdi has begun physical therapy, and successfully moved his left hand yesterday. We are hopeful that over the next few weeks with more physical therapy, his condition will continue to improve insha’Allah. Please keep him in your dua. He is still not accepting visitors at this point; we will continue to update the community on his condition. This will help in alleviating his persistently elevated blood pressure since the stroke. His condition has improved since the stroke, but he is in need of your dua. The Muslim Link joins area organizations and leaders in asking the Muslim community to pray for his recovery, to give him and his family patience, and to make this trial a cause for Allah to raise his rank in paradise. Brother Mahdi spoke at three Muslim Link events, helping to raise thousands of dollars for our newspaper. It is noteworthy that Brother Mahdi never asked for any honorarium or fees from us.
